This article talked about the recent decision to remove limits on contributing to a an individual politician or political party for individuals, not corporations or unions...yet.
So if I'm a hedge fund manager and don't want to pay taxes, I have my hedge fund give millions to a campaign and I can personally give millions to individual politicians, and suggest to the people I helped get elected to not tax the super wealthy. But of course, this will not oblige or persuade them to push my agendas at all. |
