Have you tried alternate grip, hook grip, or chalk? Do you know how to use straps properly?

Cardio is good. I like jumping rope over the usual running-based machine stuff, plus it burns more calories and is more of a total body thing. My real cardio is on the mats though and that obviously isn't going to be most people's cup of tea.
