3rd Strike was the SF I played most growing up, 'sides maybe CvS2 but, that's a crossover and not so much a SF..
But there's no possible way you could have EVER played -REAL- 3S and enjoy this game.
First of all: it's a shitty port of a shitty port. they claimed they were going to use an arcade perfect port - and they FUCKING PORTED THE DREAMCAST VERSION (which was really bad)
Second of all: if you ever played the game w/o lag you would know the netplay srsly unplayable. Even against people w/ good connections it is unplayable. They claim to have used the "GGPO" netcode, but, I remember playing 3S on GGPO and it didn't run as well as some other games (Vampire Savior was amazingly smooth on GGPO), but the console port of 3S online was god awful.
More on topic: NAQ - at your level of play I would think Marvel 3 would be a lot of fun? it's one of the easiest fighting games to pick up and play.. everyone's basic combo is relatively easy to do and the bull shit is minimum. You aren't pulled into the top tier vacuum of having to deal with/use characters like Vergil/Doom/Dante/Magneto/Zero/Spencer etc
