I agree with this.
But also, sometimes people are dumb and it's hard not to call them dumb, but you have to because if you call them dumb people will call you dumb.
I agree tho, don't blame the voter, blame the writer...that's always been my motto...well not really my motto, but I've always believed it...it's the job of the writer to make sure their intended meaning gets across.
Still tho, some people ARE dumb.
