Throwback Battle

This is a really good one. It's a lot of lines, but
definitely worth the whole read. It took place
on BBoys and is from 2007. But without further

Power Ranks


We have a lot of new guys signed in this week,
so instead of just putting y'all in the "I really
don't know... alias?" category, I'll focus on the
higher ranks this week. Here's our Top Five!


#5 Defiant
The only reason that Defiant isn't ranked any higher
is the fact that he always won by noshow so far. Do
not let that fool you, though. Defiant is one of the
better underrated txtcees out there. He can come
with it. Expect to see him rise in these ranks.

#4 Boredom
I've been giving him challenges in the league and you
wouldn't be wrong if you said he has been running a
gauntlet. I think he will learn a lot from that, though.
I have high hopes for Bore being able to make the
Playoffs and finish the season as a way better battler
than he started it. He's one to watch along the way.

#3 Muff
Muff's been battling good opponents and yet, he
managed to keep a good record. While he might rush
his verses at times and drop some really long lines,
he's still one of the few people left that got this old
school type of wording that just hits really hard.
Expect to hear more from this dude.

#2 Knucklehead
Knucklehead is unbeaten so far and he's one of the
people in strong competition for the 1st Contender
Match. Maybe he will drop slightly after this week,
facing his best opponent yet, but maybe he will
just rise some more. Let's see what he can do.

#1 Hollywood
This guy's not only going against the best, he's
coming out on top too. He is THE threat to take
down at the moment. Hollywood's almost assuredly
in the 1st Contender Match and he has to be the
one whom you'd predict to champ 1st too. He's
who you have to get by on your way to the throne.

Hollywood vs. bleak

This will be goodish. Bleak is decent, has some funny bars but not
always the best at delivering a great concept. He relies to much
on humor and doesn't usually have any really fresh and dope
general bars. Holly comes nice usually idk who he is an alias of yet,
but he has some nice drops. Bleak lost to Dia though.. but he
could without question come hard and give Holly a run for his
money with some ROHflz. I'm gonna have to make the safe bet
Holly takes this with more consistency.

Knucklehead vs. Defiant
by Sharp Nine

This is a great matchup for sure, here you have two guys
definitely bound for contender and probably champ matches
this season. Knucklehead's back off of a hiatus but has had
a solid showing here in a tight battle with RPK. Defiant on the
other hand has been consistently no-showed but is without
question a powerful battler. I'm expecting and hoping for a
lot of slick bars between Knuck's love of nameflips and
Defiant's penchant for hard-hitting personals. I feel like this
one could go either way, but I would give the edge to
Defiant - I haven't really seen a lot from Knucklehead beyond
his last battle and L4L work, and I think Defiant's capable
of topping that. That said, I hope I'm proven wrong and
we get the dope battle this has the potential to be.



Muff vs. Boredom

This could be really dope. Boredom is working on polishing up
his bars and trying to get some notice. Muff though is a vet
that can drop really nice shit. After Muffs performance last
week I am worried he might slack, cus he rushed it and it had
some really played bars. If Bore brings his A game he can edge
this, but I still see it being close.
Muff: 55/45



Utmost vs. Witty

Utmost seemed like an alias but he doesn't come hard enough
to be unless he's slacking or rusty. Witty is okay, some good
attempts. Haven't really seen him shine yet but he has as much
potential as Utmost. Idk tbh, could go either way depending
on who is gonna try and make a name for themselves and put
on a show.

Sharp Nine vs. Flo Real

Both up n comers, haven't seen much from either but I know
Flo Real was a respected dude before the Hoard fiasco. Sharp
is getting a good feel for things, he just needs to take the
next step in putting his game at that level up. Could go either
way but from what I've seen..

Rayge vs. Mac

Neither of these dudes is great, not sure if they are in the
Ultimate Writer if not they should seek some help tbh. Macs
name is to easy and almost all the nameplays are played out
so I'll say..

Strikta vs. Nomad

This could be interesting. I feel nomad is either a vet I don't
know or an alias. Strik is nice with it though and seasoned in
these parts. This could be battle of the week if nomad is a
good alias. If nomad is an old vet he'll probably be rusty, so
I'm gonna go with..
Strikta: 80/20



RPK vs. Ox

Idk who Ox is, but RPK has some talent. Seems Ox hasn't
posted a battle that he actually dropped for? idk but I'm
gonna go with..
RPK: 75/25



Dystopian vs. Vinzr

Both pretty average txtcees that have been around for
awhile. Eager to see how they develop here. I know Vin
was okay on RB, seems a bit better here. Plot came nice
a few times in the 1-2 on NC. Close but I'll say..
Dystopian: 60/40



Meth vs. Skunk

If Meth is methodical T, and Skunk is just some dude, Meth
easy. Since I am not certain who the fuck knows.. Skunk
could be yet another alias and Meth could just be a guy with
a dumb name

Origin vs. megatron

No idea who Origin is, might be one of the no shows. AGAIN,
might be a god damn alias shit. tron has dropped below
average so far, if he takes notes and improves he could win
this, most likely with a no show verse..

WRATH vs. Trouble

Trouble is a cool alias name, if not he could still win. WRATH
was god awful last week..

Hollywood vs. bleak
These guys are both pretty good battlers. However, Holly
is a top tier veteran, and bleak is on the come up. I think
Holly's experience and solid punches will be the deciding
factor. However, bleak might come with something crazy
because he's looking to defeat someone top tier for the
upset.
Odds: 80-20 Hollywood


Rayge vs. Mac
This one seems a little onesided. Mac is a newer cat who hasn't
quite mastered the fundamentals. If I remember correctly from
RB, he didn't quite speak English fluently, either. Rayge, on the
otherhand, is a vet who knows how to throw a punch. I think
Rayge will take this unless Mac has elevated a great deal from
the last time I saw him.
