But lets look at this from a different perspective.
There isn't a lot different between this and putting a child up for adoption. As far as we know, she did research on the family she was selling the kids to & she was genuinely trying to give them a better home. I think it's a safe assumption that she wasn't looking after the children very well and she might have truly believed that she was giving them a better home.
"But anonymous" I hear you say, "She only wanted the money to bail her boyfriend out of jail"
Well, that may be the case, but we all know that the media enjoys to over-dramatize things to make a better story, so we know the fact that her boufriend was in jail wasn't gonna go unnoticed, anything to make her look worse. Adoption agency's aren't giving these kids away for free, so why should this chick. I seem to be ranting on a bit now so I'm gonna stop.
Tldr; Don't judge anybody from something you read on the Internet/ hear from the media.

Thats true, but at the end of the day, we are really given only what the media gets too, unless you go on a personal quest to find the truth lol heres other articles I copied n pasted from other news e-links, as you can see some of the figures change, but the story remains the same.

A woman in the US has tried to sell her two children on Facebook to raise money to bail her boyfriend out of jail.
Misty VanHorn, 22, from Oklahoma, was arrested over the weekend for alleged trafficking of minors on Facebook, The Oklahoman reports.
VanHorn repeatedly offered her 10-month old daughter for $1000 or a package deal with her two-year-old for $4000 on the social networking site Facebook.
VanHorn was discussing a sale with a woman in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Because Arkansas is another state, VanHorn may face federal charges.
"Just come to Sallisaw, it's only 30 minutes away and I'll give you all of her stuff and let y'all have her forever for (US)$1000," read VanHorn's Facebook message to the Fort Smith woman, according to the police report.
The two children are now in the custody of human services and VanHorn is being held on a $38,900 bond.

An Oklahoma woman was jailed after police said she tried to sell her two children online.
The Oklahoman reports Misty Van Horn, 22, was accused of trafficking children. Police said Van Horn tried to sell her two-year-old and ten-month-old children to a woman in Arkansas.
Van Horn allegedly told investigators she needed $1,000 to bail her boyfriend out of jail. She allegedly hoped to make that amount by selling one of the children, or to get $4,000 for both children.
Van Horn was arrested and held in lieu of $40,000 bond.
The children were taken into protective custody.
