I believe you're right to a certain extent, friend.
A hype beast would be someone who only gets exclusives just because everyone is doing in.
Like a bandwagon.
Because I'm a collector myself, but never consider myself a hype beast.
I only cop the sneakers I like though. And I think my collection is better than most...I have new balances that retail almost like Jordan's.
Funny, I went to the gym and an African-American make asked me why the heck I was using these at the gym. I just looked at them and barely realized they were playoffs. I only bought because they were on sale in a small Japanese kick store.
