i heard they sort of butchered the graphic novel which i've mostly read (it's dope)... but that it's still pretty stellar in its own right. my chick is/was always trying to get me to watch the show so i haven't seen more than one random episode from the first season. that's how i do.

edit - the book is ongoing and so is the show so different directions had to be taken? i guess. happens with manga/anime a lot. fans cry.
