These announcers are idiotic.
The punter should have kicked it out for the safety. It's a bad break for the Colts that it's a safety. You'd rather have the ball on the 1 than a safety, even though you get the ball back. The odds say you're more likely to get more points with the ball at the 1 than safety + free kick.
