I don't mind being a nerd about it, but yes, it's an excuse to reminisce. With that said, what used to happen all the time was people who were winning a lot at one site would get talked into going elsewhere. That's what created the network. That, and the fact that RapMusic was just enormous. At one point it had something like 150 people in its battle league and 70 people in its topical league.
