the United States literally has the best higher education system in the world, bar none. it's not free? cry me a river lol. there are countless programs to allow people (have shown dedication OR ability) who can't afford to go to attend.
pretty much nobody has to pay the full cost of university here.
the system isn't broken. people taking on debt that they "didn't know" would be so high is ultimately the people's fault. you got taken advantage of? don't be so stupid.
