You are completely correct that it is not something that is productive to continue a species, but that is all...that is as far as someone can go in a legitimate argument against homosexuality, God does not exist so the 'morally' wrong argument is stupid and nonsensical, animals don't kill other animals for being gay, they just do it because that is what their bodies and their minds tell them to do, and the other animals just continue to have sex with the opposite sex. Homosexuality is not a good thing or a bad thing, it is just a thing...they happen to find the same sex attractive, that's all it is...it shouldn't even be an ethical issue, people who choose not to have kids also don't contribute to the continuation of the species, they are not judged as morally wrong. We are under no obligation to do anything in nature, there are no laws we have to adhere to, nature is just the culmination of a series of events, it has no ethical values or moral codes.
