Don't you guys have this problem every year? I remember I read some stuff last year about blizzards n stuff being crazy. Don't get me wrong, it's definitely lots of snow for places like that, but not having back-up plans in case stuff like this happens comes off as stupid to me. Get that snow plower shit organized etc. (on airports there's a few snow plowers in a diagonal line to get shit away from the runway asap, it happens but it's rare that they have to shut shit down), get some heaters in the buses and whatnot. Problem solved, and the states wont lose shitloads of money from not being able to do stuff or get to places.
