I don't even understand what point you're trying to make. That I'm implying that being sneaky is okay, and backing it up by using extreme circumstances as examples? Because initially, I didn't do that. I don't condone stealing from people struggling, or even maintaining. I wouldn't normally condone stealing from a locally owned business, but situationally, I'm not going to fret over it. Typically I only steal from large corporations, and never individuals.
As far as our hypothetical debate; if you're talking straight up, 'I want what you have and I'm going to take it', then yeah, challenging a man face to face and giving him the opportunity to defend it is more righteous. I don't know why that would have even entered this discussion, though.
I'm more of a communist, living in a capitalist society. I do things to sway the scale more towards my own ideals. This is why prisons are filled with people like me.
