I've been thinking about things to do to get some passive income myself, but I've yet to get any good ideas. I liked your idea about vending machines though but as I looked into it all I saw was how to get a vending machine to your workplace etc. for a price.. So I wouldn't get a percentage of the money at all, I would literally be paying them for a good spot to place it rather than partnering up with them. The next step would be to buy one which sounds like an extremely costly thing to do and revenue probably wouldn't be available until a year or two has passed (plus maintenance and whatnot of the vending machines) which seems to be a bad investment if you want to get something going fast. But I like the idea, with some polishing on the idea and being creative on how to cut the costs I think it'll be possible to make money from it.

I've also thought about some sort of webshop, but there's literally 1000's of them already. I do got some stuff in mind on how to make it work with the products I got in mind, but I wont reveal that unless I'm 100% certain I'll never go through with it anyways. Either way the bottom line is - paying and shipping goes automatically through my site. I wont do anything else than booking how much money I get and making sure I pay my taxes + some customer service. The customer service is shit I can do on my own, the moment it gets too much to handle is the moment I hire someone to do it for me as I most likely make enough at that point to do so. It'll basicly be passive income either way tho'.
