Religions use to be mob like gangs ... Follow us or die, defy us and get stoned, decapitated or crucified in the name of OUR lord type shit ... It's funny back then health wasn't a top bill for everyone, in some of the story of Abraham he and his wife live to be almost 200, he cheated on his wife and them his mistress became jealous, his son born out of wedlock was a bad kid etc etc ... Infidelity is bad , see where this is going?
