i also think it's one of those somewhat rare areas where people stay there for so long because they value what they do -- which is one of the best things a career can provide
while i do consider myself blessed and fortunate for my position in a lot of ways --- with my particular worldview, making money to consult businesses on how to make money in a financial system built on glorified IOUs and in a commerce dependent on continual growth which is dependent on consumer confidence --- i close down my day thinking that at best I was effective at contributing to a system that is fucking the damn world and souls in it up lol.
