75% is probably about right... maybe even more.... certainly the percentage of movies that I actually go to see that are American is more
It's not that weird... all Western culture is pretty similar... the type of characters we find appealing, the themes we are interested in, what we consider good/bad about a person.... it's just minor details that differ
