I think mostly it is just becoming a fad, something these depressed little fag bags can aspire to, which is a pretty fucked up thought but they are pretty fucked up kids...they see and hear about the guy who did it, and they can relate to him because they think like him. As a youngin', especially teenagers, you are looking for something, an identity, what kind of person you really are and thus what kind of things you should be doing. Somebody who they relate to as peers killing others and then himself can make these kids think this is what they should also be doing since he did it and they are obviously the same kind of person. Peer pressure isn't just trying to make somebody do something, it is also making your peers think it is okay or even necessary to do it. And the inherent need to fit in is an urge that comes from the need to be safe, something that has been with humans since they have existed, we were never solitary animals...we stayed together for survival, and we learned how to survive in communities rather than face the certain death of solitude in a dangerous world.
