It's a consumer day basically, I don't know why but since I was a kid I just hated Halloween...

Nah I know, if I thought people would attend, I'd throw costume parties semi regularly. One time a year is fine for me though. Plus I like the whole ghouls and ghosts and vampires, but also the humorous costumes.
But I mean overall EVERY holiday in this country is a consumer holiday in one way or another.
Thanksgiving - you gotta go all out on the big ass feast
Christmas - the gifts
Valentines - the gifts, the night out, etc
Easter - the candy and/or gifts sometimes
Veteran's, Memorial, 4th of July - all the cook out holidays.. they're sellin you grills and all the accessory plus of course the cost of the cookout
NYE, St. Patties, Cinco - blow all your money at the bars on overpriced drinks
Then all the other holidays, like President's day and anything else (even MLK day) every store throws a big sale since they know you're home from work.
Granted they all have a meaning, but literally every holiday has been monetized somehow. That doesn't mean we can't enjoy them.
But I've always been a to each their own sorta guy, I'm not trynna break your balls here for not liking it.
