Start a dream journal, that's probably the most important part.
Every morning, as soon as you wake up, write in your journal about what dream you just had. It helps with familiarity.
Also, throughout the day, if something happens that is out of the norm, then ask yourself if your dreaming, even pinch yourself. The idea is that you'll start doing this in your dreams.
As you're in bed, recite to yourself in your head, tonight I will lucid dream.
And your more prone to lucid dream when taking a midday nap, or if you wake up in the middle of deep sleep, stay up for about thirty minutes, and then go back to bed
