Vic bought a car that depreciated in value as soon as he drive it off the lot. He then drove that car to his mother's apartment where the land & homes surrounding have also depreciated in value but no worry bc they don't own anything they pay rent to a landlord who's looking to sell the complex but can't bc of the depressed values in the neighborhood. Vic's car is in a condensed bario in NY where it's practically pointless to own a car bc of congestion, high crime and the availability of mass transportation. Sometimes Vic cannot park his car in front of his mothers apartment bc of insufficient space availability so he parks down the street or in a parking ramp where he has to pay a monthly fee. He doesn't use the car to travel outside of NY bc his time is spent with his pets, netcees and forming crews on Grand Theft Auto. This is the thinking that keeps Vic poor as he will soon sell his car for much less than he bought it to make ends meet.
