what up Hemingway incarnate.
To be sure, a whole fuckton of dope writers wrote drunk or otherwise destroyed themselves during the writing process. It helps you but it destroys you if you can't control it, and by control it I don't mean "hehehe LOL I can face a gallon of Jack Daniels and still spit game at the bar, fuck 10 dime pieces then drink an entire barrel of Jameson in 30 minutes while simultaneously writing a fucking masterpiece of a novel that will usurp the Great Gatsby in rank immediately." I will contend that moreso than drinking, repetition is the mother of skill; for instance I am almost positive Black has written more verses than anyone in OM and while he has a far higher than average intelligence and maybe innate skill than most I know for a fact he's wayyyyy better than 5 years ago although he was still dope then. I don't write that much but I have tried it on alcohol, cocaine, adderall etc. and cocaine was the best stimulant for me. If you can't raise your creative focus without alcohol that means you haven't learned to focus enough of your energy (read: sex transmutation - i've been looking into it recently and applying it to various circumstances...very fucking interesting and it has been said guys like Shakespeare used this approach) and you want to use narcotics to reach greatness... which is cool and has been done but in the end it destroys you if you let it. Just my 2 cents holla I'm gonna drink like a fiend this weekend peace
