Guilty Gear is on psn for 15, IMO the best fighter of all time. Has a high skill ceiling and can be kinda hard at entry level. Only sad thing is, to get the free update to the most recent version, you need to dl it on the japanese PSN.. which is probably not worth it to you.
Chaos Code just came out psn for 12. I know very little of this game, but it looks sorta cool
Blazblue - a new version is coming to console in oct. Most recent console version should be sorta cheap maybe? I'm not a big fan of this, but it is easy (sorta) at entry level
Persona 4 Arena - easiest "anime" fighter (ie big chain combos, universal air dashes and double jumps, etc). Entry level play is VERY easy. Most chars combos are easy, movement is very free, a lot universal system mechanics every char can use, including an invulnerable, albeit punishable 2button reversal attack (basically 2 button dp lol). Even has auto combo system, done by just mashing light attack lol
Darkstalkers revenge - an hd package of darkstalkers 2 and 3 for 15 bucks on psn. (3 is the better). Easy to get into but difficult to reach high level play. Combos are usually either simple 2in1s ie normal move cancelled to special, or just a chain in to sweep, ie. Lp, mp, mk, cr. Hk.. but defense and the match ups in general, can be UNFORGIVING. Incedibly fun game.. its 20 years old and better than 90 percent of other fgs
Sf3:3S online edition: bad port of a great game, but it is relatively playable
