We are already living in a world we have made for ourselves, we are comfortable and have no need to adapt.
I dunno if that would apply to the brain's evolution, but I don't think just because we have evolved at a certain rate in the past means we are still evolving at that rate, if we have less need to change then we will evolve slower.

the fact that we don't need to hunt for food is gonna have a DRASTIC effect on how we evolve and completely changes our make up, no matter what we keep evolving because we also effect our enviornment
two animals with no need to evolve off top are a shark, and a croc/gator
they are perfectly suited to there enviornments and nothing they do changes there enviornment. they will be relatively the same forever
every little thing makes us evolve, so if a chimp or a dolphin did get advanced enough to form societies we would already be crazy ahead of them in development
