Ideally you want to find both, a strength and a weakness in a writers writing and give your opinion on how they can improve upon said weakness.....pointing out the strength let's the writer know he/she can keep whatever trait that strength was....thus bringing in more consistancy.
The problem with the Dick riding that goes on here is....a lot of what goes on is a popularity contest. It's like high school. If everyone name was anonymous and nobody knew each other on a personal level...feed and voting would be far better, because you would only have the writing to judge.
Perfect example. I used a different I.P. at one point....went under a different name......got generally positive feed.....nobody said I was top teir hof worthy....but mostly good.
I go under this name and....I get a lot of views....but no feed lol.
Not because I can't write....but because of my reputation getting caught up on here with discussion bullshit and trolling. I am unpopular with those in power.
Its fake. I drop on here now and again....but I take the reply or non reply lightly.
This site lost any value as far as elevation is concerned...you never know who being fake/two faced and who isn't.
I could easily go alias....but acting like someone else is exhausting. But word
Ppl should just give every piece a fair chance
Although....when a person stops using this site to better his/her writing....and simply uses it for the entertainment.....the roasts....the jokes....the trolling.....as a time passer....its moderately enjoyable.
