You know, I'm very much with you on Jay Z being the greatest ever, but I did prefer Life is Good to Magna Carta Holy Grail. Jay Z just seemed uninspired for most of it.
One thing that struck me: On Jay Z's three classic albums (Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint and The Black Album), he's only allowed a few guest appearances total. On this, the guest appearances were stacked wall to wall, be they large or small. Hell, it took like 90 seconds of Justin Timberlake singing and a beat pulsing before Jay Z even took the mike.
