he lived in the "trap" but he ain't glorifying it. he doing the same stuff lots of rappers did like Nas, etc. hence his album is called Good Kid M.A.A.D. City tho. that's why lots of ppl relate to Kendrick, he was strugglin' in one of the worst known cities & he just gives introspective on what he's lived through and seen. never all that wannabe thug shit
