Either way, I stopped in 03 when real life shit happened, my son, etc. I might not write punchlines according to the netcee standard, but I know one when I see it. If we are basing it off of your hiphop knowledge and listening to LL battle in the 80's, have you even heard him vs Kool Moe Dee? Battle rap was so basic back then. Punchlines were basic. They almost looked / sounded like this "I'll stab you" shit you are negating to recognize. Now it's evolved. Still, the basics are there in almost any battle verse nowadays. I'll stop here.
