just makes me think about how crazy ancient warfare was, and how insane technology is now. you can get a gun and drop that elephant with one shot. a good gun obviously. but still.
back in the roman and greek days basically every report on a battle with elephants said they looked like giant pincushions, from the arrows sticking out of them and spears. still they would pummel through ranks grinding men up like ground beef while archers on top would pepper the masses.
