Doing what we do as far as text goes?

I know boxden or whatever is supposed to be the best hip-hop site but I can't think of any other sites that have the quality of battlers, tourneys or battles at all in it involving text.

There's no more bboys, PR, RM or anything like that as active as this place in my opinion. Just curious what happened to all these places.

They stopped giving a fuck

I went to a few other sites before I found this place when I decided to start writing more. The textcee scene appears to be a series of ghost towns. I remember the days when you had RapMusic, RapBattles, B-Boys, RhymeNReason, Mr. Blunt, 411Hype, SOHH, AZN Raps, RipTheMic and others, each with their own active battles leagues. A few had active topical leagues, too.

Urban Prowlers still is up, but it's not particularly active and apparently they won't activate new accounts. I can't remember my old screen name there, either.

The cool thing back then was every site had its different, preferred styles. I was always a site jumper, using different names at different places and never really settling down. I read a lot more than I wrote, and it was fascinating to see what was stressed on all these sites.

Going to do a text battle tourney at PR soon. Richard Corey agreed to be airlifted out of Scrypt Manor and will be outfitted with a cybernetic implant that allows him text-to-consciousness capabilities. You've all been warned.

I'll thrown sign-ups somewhere this weekend, prob. I have to clean up a bunch of dead forums and reorganize them first.

We still do the topical tournament once a year and have a bunch of dudes who actually put out albums.

Richard Corey. Wow! Haven't heard that name dropped in a while. Last time I remember seeing him around was when Kempomrk was running a league on, I think it was bboys, and it was one of the last times I made an attempt at battling in a league. Until a few years ago.

I think it's great how netcees is as simple as it is. It's nice to have a site that caters to the basics as far as text goes
