I am thankful to Netcees

Not only has this site forced me to write, but its given me inspiration. Reading others' words has helped me a lot. Its been like 4 years since I seriously wrote... and I never battled via text or via microphone before being here.

Netcees, so far, has increased my vocabulary. It forced me to write and inspired me to write, when I never would have done so.

The battling was fun, and it inspired me to come up with somewhat of a format that I plan on using for verses in the future:

new format for writing lines:
max syllables 16 per line.
separate lines into quarter notes:
________________/________________/________________/________________/
(+ or - based on how the syllables are spelled on).

The topical and art of writing archives have inspired me the most. I was never meant to battle, but I'm going to continue doing so... and I'll continue to learn. I've learned a lot from reading the AOWL, and it has inspired me greatly. My personal writing was once a shining light, became dead, and then I ended up on this forum... and in several ways it has inspired me to continue to write, daily. For that, I thank Netcees.

The flaming and personal attacking, I could do without... I thought it was provided in a way that was meant to inspire me to write hateful words; and I thought that ended until some dumb fuck with too much time on his hands made a profile in my woman's name. Totally lame.

I know I was punished for posting too many topics in the OM area, and that is justified. Other shit happened that I don't care to mention, but over-all; I love you guys as brothers and whatever I write in battles may discriminate or promote hate... but I am here, and I am genuine.

I have nothing else to say except: stay true to your true self, and be yourself; post as yourself and have no fear.

I'm also thankful towards all of the moderators and veterans who gave me advice.

I'm not sucking up. You all can still go drink out of one cup...

but namely, I am thankful towards Kins (for advice and recognition on possibly collaborating on beats), Big Baby (for destroying me the first week I was here, and introducing me to the culture, and afterwards posting a piece that I was in awe of), Sharp Nine (for consistent advice on battling, and offering to hear my verses before they were posted), just recently Adonis (for helping me regain my private messaging and topic posting rights), MKG (for continuously attacking me trying to draw out the negative), Zen (for posting good advice the first week I was here, and then reposting pretty much the same advice, reminding me), and "anonymous" (for telling me about this site).

I thank you for just being cool... you never spurred a hateful bone in my body.

I can't mention everybody, though.

I am especially grateful to the guy who had the time to make a fake profile in my girl's name.

I guess thats a given as to why most netcees remain anonymous.
