Yes. Also, the middle syllable must match to corresponding middle syllable or it's cheating and you lose the benefits that come along with being a multisyllable rhyming anal retentive fuckass.

Its all open to interpretation.

if you say the 2 syllables on even beats (say 8th notes), then you can surely say three syllables on triplets and have it still work

Textcee'ing from my viewpoint (at this point) is much different from actual emcee'ing... because text leaves interpretation to the reader, and if they don't read it the way you intended for it to flow... then its a no-go.

Glad u understand that.

Slant rhyme/ accents come into play as well

theMuzzl3 09-30-2014 02:19 AM

yeah, it kinda makes me think textcee'ing is difficult, if you want your reader to understand the beats and where the words go. At the same time, it very much so limits textcees to a format that is within quarter notes and half notes... which is not ideal.

I'm going to focus more on the AOWL and 1-2 punch perhaps, more so than on battles.... but I'll try to prepare myself mentally for writing within the format that we are limited to.

El Muffin 09-30-2014 02:27 AM

I rec focusing primarily on aowl

1-2 punch is a secondary league in our battle division

Brokes trying to raise its status..n is succeeding I think

NBL (battle) n AOWL (topical) are the two main draws on this site
