Therapy Session (Collabo w/Veritas)

Patient (Objective):

It's getting harder to manage,
and emotions got an unfair advantage.
If I'm failing my subconscious planned it,
an ocean-like view, yet I'm broken and stranded.
Humanitys doom is bottled and branded,
too many beers have left me awefully candid.
No secrets exposed except those society demanded,
there's times my mind contracted, then suddenly expanded.
And life hits me with second hand emotional pain..
So much for being a friend, to me there's nothing to gain.
I'm nothing but plain, relationships focused on conscious mistakes,
which created this two-sided monster who's rotting away.
Existence itself is too much to grasp, not just cuz I aint a clue,
but it's too hard to get anything else than a third person view.
I'm the center of my universe, and you are of yours too,
the big bang that created it all is perverted, so what does it do?
Personalities, who? Morals is a flawed idea, just like reality,
I can't stand being a part of this scrutinized noise known as humanity.

Therapist (Veritas):

The existential is fundamental to the growth of your psyche,
Yet wholly inconsequential provided that you trust and like me.
For the man that is truly authentic with his therapist,
Is the man that can be guided away from the pitfall most perilous.
Understand that the words you gave your feelings are indeed accurate,
Now please understand that I exist to help you succeed and master it.
Your feelings of inadequacy are prominent, you flirt with nihilism
But negative patterns of emotions can’t stand before realism.
The key to vision is what frees from prison,,,,,now heed this wisdom:
Still there? Great.
I don’t want to lose you
I promise I care, and will educate,
And I swear I will never confuse you.
I have heard your words, I have discerned your symptomology
I have a few concerns, first that you wish life would give u an apology
Second that you feel disconnected from life,
You feel misunderstood, mistreated, and stricken with strife
But as your therapist I have the beginning of the answers you seek…..
humanity aint the problem, it is our thinking that our problems are unique.

----- Loving all of this, some of it a bit sloppy as far as the multiple syllables and what not but a far as the content and it being felt its all there

Damn nice! I've seen Veritas stuff, and see he still at it (damn ver, how long you been doin this anyway?) and still craning out some dope ass lines. Impressed at the flow and imagery in both drops... my favorite bar: "No secrets exposed except those society demanded, there's times my mind contracted, then suddenly expanded." I just love the flow and sound of that, it's like "yea, I know, i been there"... sweet

I loved the patient/therapist angle and I really liked the way Veritas rapped it all up at the end:

@Objective, you approached this calmly, expressively, but it didn't fully connect with me because I guess I'm a sucker for rampant details. I feel like your writing is getting there, and it could very well be there already but this is my present opinion. Put an unmistakable 'touch' on your ideas; your concepts have always been as solid as the object you personify. I think your projected energy needs some work. Get the reader more involved. We are the blind man and you are the guiding canine. Show us the way to an out of body experience, psychiatry style.

@VERITAS, this succeeded because you convinced me you knew what you were talking about, so it immediately categorized itself as a commodity. I thought back to when you posted your Ph.D memorandum (in the wake of PicardGate) so overall, it was a gentle psyche evaluation, introductory in nature since I am assuming this was the first session of a series of meetings, should you both decide to expand on it.
