A voter voting based on a discussion thread is as bad or worse then the discussion thread

Of course it changes the voters opinion. If I see a sway thread I don't want to vote on the battle period. A sway thread can go for or against you. Double edged sword. I don't agree w/ that no.. cuz the voter wouldn't be swayed if the thread wasn't there in the first place. Chain reaction. I don't wana argue tho this probably the most I've wrote in 1 post on here ha.

one of the problems with voting, is it's an opinion thing.

when a voter says they like Contestant no. 1's bar and I think it's a terrible bar.. and they say Contestant no. 2's bar was awful and they vote for Contestant no.1 and some people look at that and say OMG the voting is so bad.

but really, if you just read the battle, give honest feedback, and post your vote - that's a good vote, because that's what it is supposed to be,
