A darkened room, halfhearted gloom but still I wonder if its smart; assume. The anniversary of my daughters birth, one year ago she graced this earth and as a father I replied in mirth. Cried the happiest tears of any man I've ever spied because I realized my mother was still alive; reborn. The past year has brought more emotions than a spanish soap opera on telemundo, it has been fun though watching her grow and blossom as a rose does when the sun glows nearly as bright as her smile. So I'm left pondering what the rest of life will be like as she matures, will she fancy the finer things as I spoil her as I believe she deserves, or will she be happy with the smaller things like the fact that I'm simply a hard worker? There's no guessing or testing that can reveal the blessings that are instore for us, yes; as my wife and son have done for me we will do for her what we deem best and the rest is in the hands of fate. So on this date I mark it down proudly and remember why I've done everything I have as it surrounds me. My family, my heart, my soul would not be complete without eachother, I just wish I could have shown my mother in person the person I've grown to be because of her, because the smile I remember on her face can't compare to the smile that would replace it at the fact that I'm a father, and enjoy every minute of it.
Happy birthday Aaliyah

-deepest part to me...

an the section..."do for me as we will do for her" almost seemed like it coulda been a speech... def. a good writer... poemish'...mixed wit' powerful speech...an at the same time kinda a "hip hop deep personal track vibe"... I dunno I liked this, different then tha norm...
