jilti: This was very solid for this league. The name play worked, and the setup went with it. My only critique is that I think the way you followed the name play was a bit weird and drawn out, mostly because of "fashion day."

Destroyer: Your wording was a bit smoother than jilti's, but your name play wasn't as clever. I think if your rhyme had been more than a single syllable end-rhyme, I might have been able to say the slightly lesser punch was enough because of the execution.

Okay so this one is a hard battle to judge for me. Jil, here is the best reason I can offer why I wasn't feeling the np. Design is what, a two-syllable word right? De-sign. What you did was you tried to fit another 2-syllable word into the second half of the word using "ign". Eye-ing. What you tried to do was Des-eyeing..but what it comes off as is Des-Eyen (pronounced "ine" as in "shine"). So Design is a 2-syllable word. Eyeing is a 2-syllable word, and you're using 3 letters to make that happen. "Ign" and "eyeing" doesn't work imo. This, even though everything else ab ur bar was great, collapses the entire concept bc it was built around the np.

Destroyer, in my eyes, should have won bc of this. BUT I'm a very principled guy, and I have to be consistent, or at least try my hardest to lol. Last week there was a repeat Vivian Banks concept, and due to the concept already being used in this league I had to vote against it no matter how much better it was than the previous versions or his opponents.I liked the way he flipped the concept and how smooth and effortless it connected. But I cannot vote for his bar considering the jack n jill np has already been used before in this league.

I gotta give it to jil here based on the fact d used the same concept that's been used a lot already. I'm bad a reusing my concepts I think are creative when I'm uninspired an feel this was the case here as well

Id rather see a played punch that actually works then a horribly forced nameplay

I hate the 1-2 specifically due to every1 writing awful forced nameplays every week. Blegh. Fuck this league.
