From Dusk Till Dawn series

Anybody watch this? Basically a rehash of the original movie with new casting, characters, and more in-depth story arc. The continuity is ab the same but it elaborates on the Mayan tie-in that the original movie introduced in the final scene with the Titty Twister basically being a Mayan temple.

Robert Rodriguez still produces it. The dialogue is everything I've grown to love ab Rodriguez/Tarantino movies. One downside I can think of is that the actor playing Richie has no resemblance to Tarantino at all. Both in eccentric mannerisms and physique. Seth looks and acts very similar to Clooney did.

But Jake Busey plays Sex Machine and it's hilarious.

BROKE LESNAR 08-26-2014 07:32 PM

It's on Rodriguez's El Rey network. But you can watch it on Netflix or Project Free TV.

Idk the first FDTD wasn't anywhere near low-budget as all the sequels were. I don't think he had anything to do with the sequels. The original FDTD was classic. The series is basically the movie. Same scenes altered a bit bc of new characters being introduced and includes different story arcs that intertwine with the original one.

Lol no the FDTD movie series (sans the original) all sucked. They were terrible. But Robert Rodriguez launched a flagship cable network this yr called El Rey Network and his first cable series was From Dusk Til Dawn: The Series. It's essentially the first FDTD movie. Only made into a series with new casting for the original characters (Seth, Richie, the former pastor's RV family, Sex Machine, etc.) and it has new characters added with an explanation as to why the vampires in the original movie looked reptilian. It's all produced by Rodriguez and the dialogue is just as good as ever.

Dagel 08-27-2014 03:04 PM

Watched the first 2-3 episodes. Show is pretty dope. The actor who portrays Seth is pretty dope , especially since Seth was my favorite character in the movie. Funny that Robert Patrick replaced Keitel (spelling?) since Patrick was in Dust Til Dawn 2.

Yeah he does a great job bringing Seth to life similar to how Clooney did. Robert Patrick actually does a pretty damn good job replacing Harvey Keitel. I also think Don Johnson as the same old ranger that has the convenience store scene with the clerk was excellent too.

Dagel 08-27-2014 05:19 PM

Word it was dope gonna watch moreater tonight.
