What is your favorite verse that you've ever written?

Favorite verse?

oats 08-07-2014 07:27 AM

wait, favorite verse or favorite verse title?

for verses, it's tough to say. for a while I def had a single verse that I thought was my best, and as such counted as my favorite, but since then I've written a lot of verses that I think are good, as well as some that I don't think are my best by I personally like them a lot. That being said.

Favorite verse: Where Canterbury Stops (one of my best verses + I beat Sacrifice with it, who I respect and admire greatly)
Favorite title: Psychoanalyze Me Like One of Your French Girls

I don't know about any particular verses being my favorite... but the two I enjoyed the most writing were

1. Tag match vs Blue Bayou and Beyond because talking shit back and forth on AIM to them was fun. Bouncing bars back and forth with SubtleT was fun. The hype of it all was fun. There is no comradery really on netcees like there was on IHH.
2. "Pink Slip" battle vs Dia because I was sick of his bullshit plaguing the site and writing 50lines of nothing but ether was ridiculous. Think Broke Lesnar personals on a scale of x100. Then of course that signature pretty much going viral across text boards was the icing on the cake. AND coming back from a hiatus of almost three years to see that shit STILL floating around is hilarious to me. lols.

I remember that Canterbury verse.

Certain 08-07-2014 09:47 AM

It's almost always the last thing I wrote, so I guess the 12 lines I sent to @Witty last night.

Witty 08-07-2014 09:57 AM

Which was dope, I shall be responding once I finish work.

I dunno what my favourite is...I forget most of them.

dead man 08-07-2014 10:54 AM

dull boy 08-07-2014 11:19 AM

Hard to narrow it down. I could probably pick 5 or so.

kannon 08-07-2014 11:22 AM

Probably this one: http://kickthekan.bandcamp.com/track...-camera-lights

It's all one long verse. It had been like a year since i'd written anything, and this was kind of just everything in my head spilling out into one long verse. People seemed to like it too.

Greed 08-07-2014 11:30 AM

Battle wise probably my sf against pc

Song wise is things to come and flashing lights. The lyrics were good enough not to need reassurance and I havent put them on any site. I need to upload those from the usb now that I mention it.

Objective 08-07-2014 11:53 AM

I think I might have lost my fav verse forever, maybe it's still saved on my nearly broken laptop that it takes 3-4 times to boot. It was part of one of the battles in the International StoryTelling League right before the epic fail known as TextStars.com. The picture given was pretty cool, some fishes photoshopped inside a lightbulb with water and some stuff you see in regular aquariums. Found the sketch I saved on Gmail but I rephrased everything and removed 80% of those lines. Kinda sucks as I'm never really satisfied with anything that I write.

Chyeahhh!!! 08-07-2014 12:37 PM

Got a lot of em lost on netcees one. Was more hungry in my early years I'd have to say battle verses 03 04 circa and open mics 2010 and 2011 was some of my best material. When I was going to war with cats in the open mic on I'll community back in 05 06 really brought out the beast but beef usually does Lol. Those back n forths were nuts Lol....20 to 30 bars of soul burning shit

Chyeahhh!!! 08-07-2014 12:40 PM

Oh and my little back n forth with god of war verses on netcees one Smh damn a lot of people didn't even catch most of what I said cause it was so personal Lol me and him has years of history but were cool as shit..just fun sparring

OK, more of a Slug and Kno hybrid. I liked this a lot. The beat is great.
