How Do We Vote On Battles Here?

Very curious, not complaining or anything it's just that i need to see how it works and adapt to it..

When i'm writing, i like to use a different approach like i don't want to write how everyone else does. If i add some expo for someone to understand a punch that WILL be complicated, how's that a bad thing? How do i go into a battle feeling like everyone will understand what I'm about to post? What if i know something you don't know and i use that as material? How do you vote if you don't understand it? I like to go out of my way and use 'different' material because i don't wanna be predictable.

If I'm just typing up stuff that makes sense to me but you don't understand a lick of it and i didn't add an explanation, how does that work? What do you do being 100% honest. Do you be like Ohhh it sounds dope cause it rhymes! I read someone's comment saying "If i have to look up your punchline, it doesn't work." That's not true though. It only tells how much your into played lines but you don't see it as that, you see it as a great set-up with a old concept. Wouldn't that just make someone more advanced? Showing a sign of brilliance is definitely better than played out lines.

Thoughts?
