  August 12th 2014 11:59 PM PST.
• Check Ins are due SUNDAY, August 10th 2014
• Voting ends SATURDAY August 16th 2014 11:59 PM PST.
• Battles that lack votes may close later.
• One sided battles may get closed early.
• Extensions are 24 hours
• You will be GRANTED ONE EXTENSION AS A TEAM throughout the Tourney. Any extension beyond the first will result in loss of votes.

Line Limit:

• Min. = 16 lines
• Max. = 16 lines
• Limit MUST be agreed upon

General Rules:

• First to 7, Win by 2, 5-0=KO
• 1st person to post can't edit after the 2nd person posts.
• 2nd person to post can't edit after a vote has been made.
• Feeding = DQ.
• Recycling = DQ.
• Biting = DQ.
• No freeposting, swaying or bitching.
• Unless a picture battle is agreed upon,
  linking to your opponent's picture or posting it
  means you will be disqualified.
• A check in ISmandatory.
• Competitors should agree on a line limit in their check in.
• If no line limit is agreed on, then the 2nd person to post
  must match the 1st person's line amount.

those are the two best in the verse I think, neither of which are really haymakers tbh. lots of awkward wording and bizarre concepts that didn't really connect. more creative flips and harsher wording would have made this much much better, but it's a pretty weak showing

these were the standouts, but even the non-quoted bars were probably better than K's quoted ones.


Vote: Pretty easy win. Nik Bags just had better punches start to finish.

kinda felt this was closer then it shouldve been. ill nika did enough to win. too many misses from double k. ill nika was way more consistent and had better wording all the way around as well.

Nik bags: Cool. Everything was pretty consistent, nothing wowing, seemed like a regular verse with nothing really faulty nor nothing outstanding. Precise, pretty well worked, wording couldve been better but the conciseness of each bar made that almost void. Nice

Double K: Read this twice already, didn't really see anything that was on par/better than your opponents. When the opponent sets a standard it's obvious you have to be better. IT seemed, almost a bit jumbled? I enjoyed it for what it was, but didn't think you particularly 'won here'. Good luck, enjoyable read gentlemen.

Double K: I didn't like any of these lines. Maybe the Kevin Durant line had some potential. I don't know. Nothing stood out. It read very much like a formulaic text rap battle verse, except that the punches were boring and generic despite facing two of the biggest personalities on this site.

Nik Bags: On the flipside, everything in this verse also read like a formulaic text rap battle verse, but almost every line was at least decent. Clearly, ill nik-A is much better than this showing. I don't know what I'd call the standouts. The prey and KKK lines were solid enough to take this. You did the job.

The way the quotes are broken down it looks like this was a slaughter but it wasn't, the two quotes that I got from Double K were pretty funny and solid hits, Nik Bags just had more jabs to go with their solid hits which gives them the win

This was a lot closer than I expected it to be, tbh. I realize Nik had to write the whole verse, but even the stuff I quoted was pretty weak. It was just a lot more consistent than the K boys, which got it for him.
