ITT share your thoughts on death and the afterlife
i don't believe in death, i don't think
obviously everyone dies. but the idea that you're permanently dead, that not only will you never think another thought or experience another feeling ever again- thats mad easy for anyone to wrap their head around- but the idea that once your cells die, existence ceases, is fucked up like i imagine, my conscious will die, and i'll stop existing but then immediately i'll kind of fade back into consciousness, like I did when I was a little kid like, what was your earliest memory? My working memory started ON my second birthday party. I was old enough to remember every event from that day and also like random memories from when I was a baby/ about my parents, but also not old enough to do it on my own my first thought was "didnt i already have this birthday?" cause I had a Lion King themed birthday for my first birthday, too. then from that day I could remember up to like a month ago that wasnt like a Life Event so i guess that was working short term memory or something dumb so yeah. I figure if I could come into existence like that, it'll happen again. i wish i could put it in better words, but the fact that we can be born out of nothing means its only natural to die into nothing, and in between the gap after death and before life is the same everything |
literally laughed the fuck out loud at the first line of the post then stopped reading.

Heaven and hell
|
U die and then the energy that is ur body gets consumed by maggots n beetles.
I'm not really spiritual so I think the u that is u simple lives on thru the memory of others. |
I am not sure.
I don't say that often lol but I've never really been able to get my head around an afterlife, but also I find it hard to imagine or understand death without one I honestly have no idea. |
Zero fucks.

I think the best way we can come to terms with death is as life's next great adventure.
We don't know what the fuck will happen, we can never know...whether anything happens after or not, surely we can all agree you cant come back to explain... so its an adventure and that's all I think of it as....the realms of the unknown where anything is possible. If I had to give an exact/definitive answer though on what I imagine will happen... We die... End. Nothing happens and that's why we cant wrap our heads around it and make up bollocks to deal with it like religion... Same as how most can not get there heads around the fact that space is infinite.... Our brain power wont allow us too as for however smart we are, there are fundamental questions about our existence that we can only speculate, an even then it gives most of us a fucking head ache. |
On a side note - with this as a topic id be interested in getting a few people together for a collab...with everyones different opinions on the matter it would be a nice mix. hit me up if interested...

just a change from one frequency to the next. The radio station(s) is infinite
|
@Ric Solar Flair
Would you remember it after changing frequency though cus like if you dunna remember it didn't happen....waddupp |
do you know what song is playing on one frequency if you're tuned into the other? I think that there some people more in tune than others as far as sensitivity goes and they're able to see certain things, cross over....2 or 3 stations at once but the majority of the people just sing the same ole song
|
all in my opinion of course
|
Liking the metaphor
|
when you die its like before you were born. nothingness
|
i could get with a number of cyclical explanations. a purely atheistic theory is a bit too pessimistic for my taste.. but heaven and hell is just ridiculous imo if you're over the age of 12.
whatever the case, it should be an interesting experience |

I just had this conversation
Anyways, I cannot for the life of me imagine total 'nothingness' I have to believe there is something else, not to keep my sanity or anything, this topic doesn't keep me awake at night, it's just easier is all. I think the matrix that the human mind has built up is enough of a game in itself, but it's a beautiful game. So even if holding onto the idea that consciousness doesnt stop after I'm terminated is an illusion, then I'm fine with that, because it is harmless. I have nothing to lose. I dont wanna pretend to understand what I can't even fathom so I'll leave it up to nature to deal me whatever she has in store when the game ends |
I agree with split I think we die and then its just black and then one day we started over
everything else gets recycled in nature why not our souls too |
