Playoffs Round 1 bracket, chat and predictions
 

Hi, all. Welcome to the playoffs.

Verses will be due a week after that, on June 26. Round 1 topics will be phrases, with Round 2 being quotes, Round 3 story leads and the championship topic being a picture.

Here are the first-round matchups, with the topics being poem titles:

Two tiebreaker notes: Vividlyvague moved ahead of Frank because he had a better record against common opponents. patrown moved ahead of YDK because he had stronger victories.

am i the only one that feels like this is the last season?
idk. someone posted recently that added to my discomfort.
i'd be willing to dedicate time to managing matches, punching numbers, opening and closing battles... if nobody else more qualified than me wants to.

I think someone will undoubtedly step up. Plus whoever runs it will be helped by the members of the league just like every other season. We're a tight knit community. Only way this is the last season is if the site crashes for good. Least that's how I see it.

i would be involved in battles more but I get demotivated and sidetracked.

and i really dont like fleshing out stuff that i put about 20% into, even if it might be good enough to win, it actually hurts me as a writer imo

To sidetrack the doomsday predictions for the future of the AOWL, let's give our respect to Certain for keeping this shit as successful as it has been all season. Much appreciated from all of us.

I think the winner between Certain and Pancake will ultimately win the season. either those two or oats.

I would never write off talented guys like that, anyone could win it, I just got a hunch and went with it, can't really explain why but I think it will be one of those guys.
