DEAD MAN -- DREAMWORK

/

how to describe it - turrets and towers divided
the loudest recorded 27 hours of silence
powdery lines, knowledge is crisis. power is priceless
sour enticement, sweet like virgin meat deflowered for nitrous
oxygenizes, balloons like cocoons for the faintest of heart
who think too much while laying down awake in the dark
veins apart. blades sharper than the face of a dart
once we're sick and tired of waiting for this game to restart
style naked as art in figure sketch-work experimentation
mad scientist results from an empiricist's patience
awareness is basic - intuitive, inherent sensation
behind our biologic neurochemical basis
you reflect, and also actively create situations, see
we're architects designing dreamwork pyramid matrices
make it be. faithfully - i followed a rhythm
and finally learned the way to make an honest decision
there's not competition. i promise, don't get caught in the hype
you're not entitled to a dawn after night. let me recite -
you're not entitled to a dawn after night. losses are life,
let me recite. because i've never been the talkative type
never started a fight. never introduced my darkness to light
the perfect abortion before the father of christ
watch if you like. read if you will, don't take in it vain
and don't abandoned shelter just to stay in the rain
many die alone as infidels so faithful to pain
that they're dead men living, til they're carried away..

burn slow the midnight oil

Sry man, havnt been on in a couple days, least not in the om. Not sure what's going on with the lack of activity here.

This piece had some of the dopest flow I've seen on the site so far. Real abstract lines and strong depth to back it up to give it an elegant feel of darkness. At least that was my comprehension.

This set of lines was dope as hell to me
watch if you like. read if you will, don't take in it vain
and don't abandoned shelter just to stay in the rain

Hopefully we can get om cranking soon. Ill figure something out for an attraction.
Stay active.

great start, instantly had a good flow.. easy to follow, solid multi's with intriguing content.. that's how you start a piece! it was probably the strongest set of lines overall. i wanted you to go in a different direction than you did, cold war/stand off of military power kind of thing. but the rest was good too, kept a consistent flow and showed you have a decent vocab. props dead!

Nice shit man forreal. Great flow and great concept it was definatly an easy read for me as I enjoyed the subject. Dope shit the only problem I got with it is it was too fuckin short haha.

thank you loyal subjects..

Enjoyed that neurochemical basis line the most. It was all very good.

Genocide and Zygote quoted/alluded to two of the lines that stood out most to me. Another section I also enjoyed was

"you're not entitled to a dawn after night. losses are life,
let me recite. because i've never been the talkative type
never started a fight. never introduced my darkness to light"

This was a really good piece overall. I'll be checkin your drops in the future

best friends :)

i appreciate you

hi. the flow was nice.

I was wondering why you chose 27 hours unless you were using a personal experience. I think that's what kind of hooked me on to this. this had a lot of subtle drug references (Allusion to Tame One's M.O.?) which I think is a good literary device because there are sets of emotions and common experiences with drugs that people easily relate to.

mad scientist results from an empiricist's patience
awareness is basic - intuitive, inherent sensation
I like how you relate the idea of a mad scientist to experimenting with ideas and thoughts

Also the lines "you're not entitled to a dawn after night" took me out of the 'we' mindset and suddenly made this piece seem accusatory.. Like a nighttime day dream transitioned to a bad nightmare meets outward introspection

Righteous isolation? There was a lot of despair in this, I'm still trying to figure out the end, idk. Good read.

I always enjoy your writing because you can read it a few different ways for enjoyment. There's always an intellectual theme throughout, but if you can't quite grasp it you can just sit back and enjoy the language. Strong use of commas, and the way complex rhymes lend to each other so fluidly without being forced. This had a personal touch to it that I enjoyed. Doubling down on a line can be a misfire but you executed it well. Another piece I actually enjoyed reading and doubled back on a couple times.

NYCSPITZ 02-02-2013 03:34 PM

it was good but not your best, astral travel to me in your sleep for a deeper analysis

dead man 02-03-2013 12:09 PM

lmao @ NYC. i miss our TS chat-boxes g

split - i used 27 hours because 27 hours is a long time

and i haven't actually heard "M.O" but I'm gonna check it out now

cake - word you actually quoted some of my own favorite lines, and as always i appreciate your distinctive viewpoint on things cause you are a rare breed.. an individual

cool shit
