Rules

Due Dates:

• Verses are due Friday,
  June 7th 2013 11:59 PM PST.
• Check Ins are due Monday, June 3rd 2013
• Voting ends Tuesday 11:59 PM PST.
• Battles that lack votes may close later.
• One sided battles may get closed early.
• Extensions are normally 24 hours
  (unless requested otherwise, that is),
  can be no longer than 48 hours
  and have to be granted by your opponent.

Line Limit:

• Min. = 10 lines
• Max. = 16 lines
• The max. can be higher if different is agreed upon by both. If no line agreement is made you CANNOT go above 16 lines

General Rules:

• 1st person to post can't edit after the 2nd person posts.
• 2nd person to post can't edit after a vote has been made.
• Feeding = DQ.
• Recycling = DQ.
• Biting = DQ.
• No freeposting, swaying or bitching.
• Unless a picture battle is agreed upon,
  linking to your opponent's picture or posting it
  means you will disqualified.
• A check in IS mandatory.
• Competitors should agree on a line limit in their check in.
• If no line limit is agreed on, then the 2nd person to post
  must match the 1st person's line amount.

Karaoke

all your bars were pretty standard run of the mill stuff.. took jabs but they were effective.. thought the lars bar was lulz


MGT Karaoke for having more decent material. Stayed simple but it was enough to get the win here.

I don't know what smashalot was coming with, but he hardly threw any punches and his execution was off. Kar' wasn't too bad. The Purge line and reform the band. Sand, lot was sort of a stretch, though.

Overall, Kar' for the better punches and wordplay.

This is probably my least favorite Kar verse I've ever read. lol. And it still wasn't close. Heat/Buck line was smash's best attempt and it did hit. Kar had some jabs and more than eough to easily win this

smash had some decent concepts but they've been done before so it didn't hit as hard, kar had some decent name plays and the closer was cool

Smash fucked up the first bar and ruined the rest of the verse. Some okay punches but k opener killed it

Smash was decent. I thought K's was a good idea but then "like pitchers looking for strikeouts"? Just wasn't feelin that, could of been a lot of tougher if worded nicely. Nothing else stood out much, but not a terrible verse.

SmashMouth was funny and I thought Purge was pretty dope.
Didn't know what the fuck Smash the show was, but Sandlot was cool too.

Overall 'yokee had the better verse, Smash was no clown but didn't have the punchlines to match the HiByemin.

kar was solid.. basically did enough to win, liked his nameplays more for sure

Sorry I wasn't really digging any of your concepts to the point I could quote... delivery was good, smooth,... but concepts just weren't there

Kar:

Smashmouth and Sandlot were good, rest was cool
