on a serious note, the only punches mayweather will feel are on his shoulders/arms some will land on the body, maidana will be aggressive ALL NIGHT LONG. Maybe moreso than cotto, but cotto is heaps beyond maidana in stamina, and has wickeder body punches. Maidanas overhands are his weapon of choice - something mayweather has 'trouble' against - seldom. The beginning rounds, maidana will come out swinging, but it will be nullified by mayweathers speed, he may lose beginning rounds, and one or two mid-later rounds, but pressure gets nullified due to the defence and speed. People say mayweather doesnt have KO power. Don't ever listen to nik-a, he's jsut a jordan shoeologist. Thats all hes good at. Mayweather has SERIOUS power, but he isn't a seriously aggressive fighter. But he leaves you more beat up, even if so, someone would knock you out. It's punishment over time. Not one quick disorienting knockout blow that gave you a concussion. He punishes the body. If you look, he'll hit with the right hand usually and goes with the left hook - these arent combinations, they're singular punches, they sting. Which a fighter will the cover up, and he'll systematically cut down the body, you'll notice singular little potshots to the body. It's genius. Mayweather could knock him out, but maidana is too high of a tier to let that happen, mayweather would really have to press a fight to make that happen. Will be interesting. A lucky shot from maidana can send ANYBODY to the canvass. Mosley has the same overhand as maidana. Except Mosley is lightyears ahead in speed of Maidana. Maidanas chance is a jab. Same gameplan with broner, except, mayweather isn't broner either. He's broner x2 basically. Other worldly. |
