Theres nothing you can do, people are flaky. Tell management to only give you reliable battlers, but worst case scenario you can usually find someone willing to do an on the spot battle

I've no problem freestyle battling, it's how I started and why I was asked to try the written format, it's just annoying having wrote and memorised all the rounds for nothing - and I don't use generics all that much so it's not like they can be used again.

I've always just took on anyone and everyone who wanted it, I didn't want to be one of these heads who only battled named folks, but this certainly has me re-considering it.

...if this were even a legit post, which we both know it wasn't, they could just say no at the time of being asked instead of agreeing, stringing it out over 6-8 weeks, then pulling out last minute less than an hour before.

If it was solely a "Baron's not worth my time" mindset, then why not just say so when asked about doing it instead of agreeing and wasting everyones time?

that's why you battle named cats, more to lose flopping on a battle.. plus you know they are going to take the whole thing a bit more seriously. but it's obviously good to still be willing to take challenges from anyone.
