Paragraphs aka really bad longbar

make it stop please

I thought text was beyond multi syllable filler banter rhyming and died with the shitty longbar sites

that is all.

Who cares how a verse is structured? It's the words that matter.

Sick 04-07-2014 03:03 AM

Its a trend Bwhaha started

Now everyones doing it

Word I dont really like it to be honest its kinda off putting

but if you're dope theres an exception

Exis 04-07-2014 03:16 AM

Hate it, always have and always will...only a few can pull it off successfully and even then it's still a chore to read.

Ppl complain about the dumbest shit lol

It's just a different way of formatting a piece, if formatted normally the lines would not necessarily be long. Paragraphs and longbar are two different things.

Wise Wiggles 04-07-2014 12:24 PM

Lol think how fucking retarded this nigga would sound in a rl cypher. Like uhhh, that was paragraph dude your wack..

dull boy 04-07-2014 12:48 PM

Yeah. The way people look at this shit is mind numbingly ignorant. It's more a difference in writing process than reading. It reads the same way no matter how it's formatted. Anyone who doesn't see that needs to understand how programmed their way of looking at things is. There is no spoon, man.

Strikta 04-07-2014 01:27 PM

Some ppl can do it dope tho.

SOME ppl.

Segmenting aids in both flow and analysis efficiency.

If you get what I'm saying, my friend.

The problem with "long-bar" battling is that it often comes with really, really shitty wordplay and an attempt to squeeze said wordplay into every single phrase. Those verses are not bad because of their formatting but because of their clutter and lack of impact.

funny thing about whats going on in here is that text was more a live than ever when shitty multies and paragraph styles were abundant. now they have dissapeared... so have loyal texters. anyone ever thought about it from that angle?

I read that fine. And commas, periods are being used to help aid the reader. Comparing a sentence with none of that, clumped together is so far fetched. In fact my audience off of this site enjoys my paragraphs and they even make notice of "flow", and they dont rap or write. so, programmed thinking it is.

big baby 04-07-2014 03:56 PM

also, Ive written in stanzas many times. Infact I probably do it more often. Also, theres writers who post 4 sentences a stanza, center aligned that dont go attacked lol. But I can see why something different can be seen as impractical.

Split 04-07-2014 03:58 PM

Comparing styles of text for relevance <-> determining how much hand contact is too homo at the circlejerk
