This kid was smart, had good grades but didn't feel protected
He wants a family, 'cuz at home he feels neglected
When he was young, his dad left and it still effects him
So now he hangs with bad kids hopin he'll forget it
He no longer cares about his real fam cuz they're his family now
They taught him things his dad didn't like standing his ground
Now he's doing drugs, his father never taught him right from wrong
His nights are long, stayin up from drugs and writin songs
And once his high is gone, he's deeply depressed
Now he's sleeping in class, cuz he desperately needed to rest
His grades are dropping, the bright future he had drifts away
And he miss behaves, trying to fit in with the kids today
It's a shame, this young kid had it made
Now he's a young thug, this happened once all the sadness came
It changed his whole point of view, he hates his life
He thinks bringing pain to others will make it right
The gang asked him to shoot in a drive by he hesitated a bit
But once he got in the car he didn't think about shit
So when they spotted the victims, his gun started to bust
It gave him a rush, and his heart started to pump
He loved this feeling, and couldn't help but do it again
He didn't care if doing it meant losing a friend
till one day he was driving by some kids and his tires were popped
He hopped out of the car, pulled his gun out and lined up the glock
He was out numbered, he couldn't shoot cuz he was tired and shocked
That's when a kid aimed at him and fired a shot........
