Veritas

Give me a reason to believe in your God and not some other God.

And do not use passages from a book, because all the other Gods have those too.

Veritas thinks he's the only God...

Witty does not need to beg for relevance.

Witty embodies relevance.

Exis 04-03-2014 02:33 AM

I just hit up random threads and say how it is.

Our inability to refrain from sinning.

Witty 04-03-2014 02:50 AM

Sin only exists if your God does.

Otherwise we as a people determine what is ethical, and we seperate the good from bad and develop a shared number of core values based on what is deemed to be right.

veritas 04-03-2014 02:55 AM

The epistemological subjectivism you just described is a fallacy.

How can whatever is right for a man right...or wrong to him wrong....but I am wrong absolutely?

You see?

Witty 04-03-2014 02:57 AM

Stop speaking to me in riddles and say what you mean.

veritas 04-03-2014 02:57 AM

You should acknkwledge that your subcon prompted you to make this thread for a reason.

I am.

1. In order for you to say that I am wrong, you would have to know what is right.

2. What if I feel that how I think is right...how can you tell me I am wrong?

3. How can you tell me I am wrong, if according to you each man chooses what defines it?

4. You are being lied to....by yourself.

Witty 04-03-2014 03:00 AM

Yes, I want to believe in your God, it would be a nice belief to have, I would like to share your faith.

But I do not.

Hence why different societies and cultures around the world all have different ideas on what is right or wrong. We develop these based on those around us, who learned from those around them etc etc.

Over time we have come to a basic understanding of what is acceptable or not in our respective societies.

This does little to prove YOUR God exists, this could apply to any God.

veritas 04-03-2014 08:15 AM

No sir....

It all comes back to what I said about our inability to stop sinning.

Only Jesus claims to have died for them.

All other gods expect works...for you to do.

Jesus just asks faith in that he already did.

your religion creates sin and then offers an answer to it
but, in reality, sin is a fallacy
